A Hilton Head Island Wedding For Angela & Dan At The Beautiful Palmetto Dunes

As I post this blog today, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to have amazing clients, that let me photograph their magical day. This wedding was small but very special, both the bride Angela and groom Dan, were very easy to photograph, and had such a great chemistry for one another, that when you see these photos they will clearly reflect that.

I consider myself to be a pretty romantic person, but my hat goes off to Dan, who approached me after dinner and asked me, if I did not mind going back to the beach to photograph the first dance of him and Angela, I have to honestly say not only was that a unique and different way that I have ever photographed this, but with the Musician playing in the background, clearly gave me a once in a lifetime, or should I say photograph, that they will always remember. Absolutely amazing first dance full of emotion and great clients. Thank you so much, Angela & Dan.

Here from the bride is how this day became:

Dan and I first met back in March of 2012, when I was home from college for spring break. I was on a run and decided to take a break at the corner when I looked back up I saw him for the first time. He was sitting in his car looking at me and our eyes locked. A flurry of emotions overwhelmed me and I decided to ask him on a date. We went out for coffee three nights later and spent the whole night talking. It was hard to say goodbye, but I had to return to college the next morning. A week later, he drove up to my college, which was nearly 3 hours away, just to take me out to dinner. Falling in love was easy and felt natural, I knew instantly that he was a man that I would marry.

That summer, Dan and his family took me to Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront resort on Hilton Head Island, SC, for vacation. That week truly affirmed our thoughts of marriage and was a week that we will forever cherish. Although I knew his intentions of marrying me, I was clueless as to when he would propose to me. On Christmas Eve, he proposed and I said with the utmost certainty and joy, “yes.” We knew right away that we wanted to have the ceremony on Hilton Head Island, where we had our first trip together and the place where we first fell in love. Our ceremony turned out to be everything we wanted. Our color theme was Champagne, Silver, White, Lavender. Shoes from Express. Dress by Jasmine Couture It was beautiful. With a string duo playing in the background, the sound of waves coming onto the beach and a cool breeze, we recited our vows and became one.

My vendors did an extraordinary job and I am eternally thankful for making my special day all the more special.
