Capturing bridal portraits as a wedding photographer in Charleston, Sc, is so much fun, it brings me back to my fashion photography back in Los Angeles. For this day, I met the bride and her mom at the Custom House located in Charleston South Carolina. They had commissioned me to capture this portrait with that fashion flair, and as many wedding photographers in Charleston, have attempted before me, I chose to create something much more compelling and artistic. I was very familiar with this beautiful historic building and the different aspects that it has to offer. Where the light falls, the time that it does, as I kept on capturing these amazing bridal portraits, I felt a little breeze, there I knew to tell the bride to turn around and start holding her veil, the result in this image is priceless, the columns set the tone for this image, however, your eyes go to the right has the veil is so in focus that you can see the fine details in it, the monochrome toning I created in post-production and used in this photo gives it that dramatic moving image, that perfect bridal portrait moment. A true work of art.
