Sara & James Wedding At Magnolia Plantation & Gardens

It has been such a long time since I have been on my blog, as everyone that is in this industry can say, it has been a very busy couple of months, I had to take a few hours really days to come back and post this wedding that I just photographed, at Magnolia Plantation for Sara & James.

Sara is from Mullins, South Carolina and James is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. We met in college and have been together ever since. We are now currently living in Johannesburg where I work in marketing and graphic design and James works as Marketing director for a sports agency.

James and I chose Charleston because of its history. We wanted a classic yet rustic feel with a relaxed and fun environment. The Magnolia Plantation Carriage House was just that place. We fell in love with Charleston’s beautiful oak trees and its centuries of history. We chose July 23, 2011 as our wedding day because it is the perfect time of the year to have an outdoor wedding service. The flowers were in bloom and the cool breeze that came off of the Ashley River was amazing. We had a vision in mind to create a very romantic, candle lit wedding at sunset. Our service was at 6:00pm under a large live oak tree overlooking the Ashley river with a beautiful reception inside a 100 year old carriage house. I chose the colors blush pink and candlelight yellow to give it a more romantic feel. The yellow tables with brushed pink hydrangeas and cherry blossom centerpieces surrounded by tons of candles was more beautiful than I had imagined. My wedding was a dream come true and my own little Charleston Fairy tale.

Well said Sara & James, thank you for having me has a historian in capturing your magical day…! Please enjoy this amazing images,

My Very Best,

Michel
