Westin Hilton Head Island, SC Wedding Jaime & Ned

A Spring Wedding At The Beautiful Westin Resort & Spa HHI For Jaime & Ned Timmerman

Aww The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa & the change of weather and spring, which spells out the beginning of wedding season, I have photographed many weddings in my last 19 plus years and this time I am so, so excited that a very caring coordinator Julia Dobson, that believed in my passion, art, and amazing clients service, who provided to me the chance to meet and photographed this fantastic wedding for Jaime & Ned Timmerman, and their entire wonderful family, at the new renovated Westin Hilton Head Sc Resort & Spa. Jaime contact me a while back and had the total vision for what she was looking for in a wedding photographer, not a typical wedding photographer that when searching the net and going thru their portfolio they all have basically the same vision, every wedding they photograph looks the same just different bride and groom, take for example the Westin resort, most would show the fountain the flag that is easy not me, I want to be different from an Artiste point of view out of the box, I took a simple logo and room # and created art, that is how I photographed the entire wedding, every request was provided to her by me, a very detailed bride, who is very appreciative person, there was no doubt in my mind that what she imagined, I was going to do plus a lot more, the perfect couple and clients every wedding photographer dreams about.

Here below from the bride words, is how this all became such a magical day.

Ned and I met in the summer of 2010 in a yoga class of all places! We hit it off immediately, sharing a love of college football, travel, roller coasters, concerts and the water! However, after a romantic and fun-filled 16 months, we realized the timing was not right.

About 10 months later after spending some time on ourselves, circumstances in our lives brought us close again and we could both see that God was bringing us back together. We realized that love still remained, and that love was greater than ever. Within two months, we were engaged to be married.

With only a four-month engagement, we had to get moving on the planning pretty quickly! We knew that we wanted to be married on Hilton Head Island. My family has vacationed there for many years, and I always imagined having my ceremony at the beach. While we visited several different resorts, one immediately distinguished itself from the others – The Westin Resort and Spa. They had just completed a stunning renovation of the entire facility and have a beautiful deck overlooking the dunes and the beach that is absolutely perfect for weddings and parties.

Julia Dodson is the wedding coordinator at the Westin, and she is truly a master at her craft. She quickly eased our anxiety about pulling this event together and was ready with recommendations for florists, bakers, entertainment, rehearsal dinner spots, and more. All of her recommendations were incredible and helped make our wedding the magical day we had imagined. However, it was her suggestion for a photographer that we were most pleased with.

Michel Berda was amazing to work with on everything surrounding our wedding. At my bridal shoot, Michel spent several hours with me in downtown Charleston, taking me to various historical sites with beautiful backgrounds. He was exceptional, working very hard to get just the right shot, from just the right angle, sometimes even lying down in the street! Michel also made every effort to make sure I was comfortable. It was so cold that day and I was FREEZING, so he even let me wear his jacket in between shots!

He was professional on every level, working diligently with me and my fiancé (now husband!) prior to the wedding to ensure that he would document my magical day efficiently, capturing every shot that I wanted. He even created a wedding day itinerary for us, which made our wedding day go so smoothly! Michel even checked out my Pinterest page and added the photos that I specifically wanted to capture on my wedding day to his list. He is the most talented photographer I have ever worked with, we absolutely enjoyed working with him, and he has gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that our wedding day memories are beautifully captured forever. Thank you, Michel!
